Facilities ManagementAlpine Fire Engineers, based in Littleborough, is a market-leading designer, project manager, service and maintenance provider of active fire suppression systems, such as sprinkler systems. Alpine Fire employs over 30 people and has revenues of more than £15m. The company was founded in 1992 by Ted Smith, father of managing director David Smith.
Alpine Fire Engineers will utilise the investment to unlock growth through bolt-on acquisitions, organic expansion and investment in its IT infrastructure.
Alpine was acquired by Core Capital Partners. The sale enabled former Managing Director and majority shareholder David Smith to step back from managing the business day to day whilst retaining a consultancy role together with a minority equity stake.
Under the guidance of new CEO, Steve Nanda, and with investment from Core Capital the business grew rapidly and in 2023 Core Capital sold the business providing a further return to David Smith.
